Year of the Snake Cairns Chinese New Year Day

Welcome the 2025 Year of the Snake with  a spectacular day filled with cultural performances, traditional lion and dragon performances starting from 6:30pm, followed by a vibrant display of firecrackers at 7:00pm. Attendees can immerse themselves in Chinese culture through captivating performances, enjoy authentic cuisine, and participate in interactive cultural activities.

Join us for a 15-day extravaganza featuring a diverse array of public events. The Chinese New Year Festival is a unique occasion for our community to unite and celebrate in the deep-rooted history and culture of the Chinese community in north Queensland, paying homage to the lasting contributions of Chinese migrants and their descendants.
