East Meets West Lunar New Year Festival

The East Meets West Lunar New Year festival is the centrepiece of Vietnamese cultural life. For thirty-six years, the East Meets West Lunar New Year Festival in Footscray has been celebrated as an inclusive festival that also recognises the importance of Lunar New Year to the Chinese, Thai, Cambodian, Lao, and other Australian-Asian communities.

The festival will celebrate the economic and cultural contribution that the Vietnamese community has made to Footscray. It will be an inclusive event that also celebrates other Far Eastern communities and our close co-operation with other multicultural communities, including the Indian and African communities.

东西汇融农历新年节（East Meets West Lunar New Year Festival）

“东西汇融农历新年节”是越南文化生活中的重要盛会。36 年来，位于 Footscray 的东西汇融农历新年节始终以包容、多元著称，同时也认可农历新年对华人、泰国、柬埔寨、老挝及其他澳大利亚亚裔社区的重要意义。

本届活动将重点庆祝越南社区对 Footscray 在经济与文化方面所作出的重要贡献。这将是一场充满包容性的庆典，同时也向其他远东社区致敬，并展现与包括印度社区和非洲社区在内的多元文化社群之间的紧密合作。
